A voice that continues.
Ruby’s Voice was born from love, loss and a determination to carry forward the kindness Ruby showed to others.
Ruby May was a beautiful girl, inside and out. She was just 15 when she was tragically lost in an accident.
Ruby faced battles of her own. As her parents, we spent years researching, seeking support and exploring different avenues to understand what she needed and help her navigate the difficulties she faced.
Secondary school was one of Ruby’s biggest struggles. Finding the right understanding and support for her needs was a long and difficult journey.
Even while facing so much herself, Ruby noticed when other people were struggling.
She looked out for others and tried to support peers experiencing similar difficulties. That care for other people was part of who Ruby was.
After a long journey, Ruby had reached a point where she was becoming happier and more content with herself and her life. Her loss was sudden and devastating.
Ruby’s family wants to continue something she had already begun: helping children and families facing similar struggles to feel heard, understood and less alone.
